Total Running Time: 9:09

In this short video tutorial, you’ll learn how to use the Multi Shader in C4D to add individual colors to your clones. You will also learn an alternate means to accomplish the same thing using Iterate.

Very useful tip – however, the tutorial cuts off at about 6 minutes in.
Yeah, it cuts you off at the end of this video:(
Is there a part 2?
Thanks for the tuts by the way!
We had to change hosting last night…there was some issue with the migration. It has been fixed and the tutorial should play all the way through now. Sorry for the inconvenience.
Just be sure to clear your cache…
very helpful… great tut!!
Thanks for the tutorial! I do have a question: I’m using C4D 11.5 and am experimenting with the cloner tool. Just as an experiment I made two cube. I’d like to make one red and one blue. How can I do this without having to put them in a null and use a random effector. Can I use the MoGraph Selection tag and assign different materials? Is there another way? Thanks in advance.
Video not working on my macbook pro from work or from home.
Hi John – Sorry to hear that. Can you provide more info? What browser are you using in both cases, what is the version of your Flash player, what are the video specs of your machines and what type of internet connection are you using? I’ve checked this on several machines here at school, both wired and wireless and I’m not seeing any problems. Is the entire video not playing, or are you able to watch part and then it stops working?
Thanks.
Tim
if i have 30 cubes in a cloner object, can i give a texture to the last cube. all 29 has red color and the last one has a texture.
is it possible
cheers
i caaaaannnnnn waaaaatttcccchhhhh thiiissssss ittttttsssss tooooooo jumpyyyyyyyy
No but really, they are way to jumpy to watch this it crazy….. they seem really good but how can you watch something like this it will drive you nuts….
Not sure why you are experiencing problems. There are 700 people a day watching without problems. I would make sure your Flash player is updated to the latest version.
What browser are you using, what is your computer setup? These are large video files, so they require a somewhat decent video card. Those are the only things I can think of that might be causing problems.
Very helpful tutorial. Didn’t work for me at first as I had clones animated and baked. I had to clear the cache before the clones were coloured differently.
Thanks a bunch. Exactly what I was looking for!
Glad you found it helpful!
