Problem with Quicktime 7.6.6 and Cinema 4D
My students were trying to import quicktime movies as well as image sequences into Cinema 4D and they were just getting black. It turns out the school had just upgraded Quicktime from 7.6.4 to 7.6.6 and Cinema 4D is having a slight problem with the new version. We tested a few machines by downgrading to 7.6.4 and sure enough the problem was fixed.
